![]() Hands down the best Italian food in Toms River, NJ. Do not waste your money on this restaurant!!! Go to Il Giardinello instead. This dish tasted as if it had a spoiled ingredient in it. We couldn't understand however he had a new dish to present to us. We questioned the food and a chef came out that didn't speak English. When dinner arrived, we took a bite and could not associate what we ordered with what was on our plates as for example the rack of lamb was coated in cous cous of some sort with a brown gravy. The bread finally arrived however we weren't given olive oil or butter to go with it. Another 20 minutes went by before we were approached for our order. When we were finally shown to a table, we didn't receive menus for 15 minutes. ![]() No one greeted us and when we were approached we were told "we have a liquor license". Stay away from the money hungry wife. From the second we entered the door we should have turned around. ![]() Look elsewhere for better service, food and attitude about the people keeping the doors open for them! (and bring extra money for the items they dont tell you about). This restaurant makes you feel like an intruder at your own party. Other restaurants in the area have the owner making you feel like a guest in their house. I had been to this restaurant in the past. Even guests noticed her body language and gruff looks as she stayed in the doorway of the party watching everything with disqust. They charge $2.50 pp for cake whether you bring your own or have theirs! Everything changed once they had deposit and the wife is very nasty. ![]() On day of occasion, we arrived to be place in main room (not private) along with a repass! The wife of owner then informed that everything we were told was exact opposite of what was included. ![]() Deposit given, Room shown where we would be placed. The dining room has high ceilings dressed up with beautiful archways and floor to ceiling windows with red drapes. As soon as guests walk into the entryway, they are greeted by an exquisite mural covering the entire corner wall. Guests at the restaurant can expect an elegant dining experience in a gorgeous, upscale environment. Our bridal shower was booked many months in advance.
